ArtSpark Gala was a success!
The ArtSpark Gala and Art Auction was successful in funding the school and virtual artist in residency program from Lane Arts Council. Thanks to all the participants. Thanks to our staff, Rotary Club of Eugene and volunteers that enabled the Gala and the program to continue during the pandemic.
Introducing Lane Arts Council’s livestream arts instruction program, ArtStream. Lane Arts Council has provided arts education programming for over 40 years, and through ArtStream, will move to provide online arts instruction for schools, teachers, and families during the 2020-21 school year. ArtStream offers Kindergarten through 8th grade students livestream visual, literary, and performing arts lessons taught by Oregon teaching artists.
This dynamic, engaging, and innovative curriculum supports distance learning for elementary and middle school age learners. Every week students will have access to new arts lessons that invigorate distance learning through accessible, hands-on instruction.
Livestream schedules will be available well in advance to provide time for teachers, parents, and guardians to integrate each lesson into their distance learning or homeschool curriculum plans.
Can I donate to ArtSpark?
AN ESSENTIAL ELEMENT OF EDUCATION
ArtSpark Eugene is a collaborative initiative led by the Rotary Club of Eugene, Lane Arts Council, the Eugene Education Foundation, and Eugene School District 4J to provide every elementary student in the 4J district with high-quality arts education led by local artists.
This year, ArtSpark will provide students with access to virtual livestream arts experiences through Lane Arts Council. Your donation will invigorate distance-learning with hands-on lessons that get students up and moving through the performing arts, teach core subjects through the visual arts, and support student creativity, mental health and well-being. These essential programs are only possible through the generous support of donors like you!
Lane Arts Council’s arts education programs have reached almost 7,000 elementary students and provided over 1,600 hours of arts education annually. This is a 60% increase in the amount of arts education that was provided before ArtSpark was implemented! This year, your donation will help us reach more students and provide more arts experiences – just when creativity and hands-on learning is needed most.
On December 4th, 2020, The Rotary Club of Eugene and Lane Arts Council will host the fourth annual ArtSpark Virtual Gala and Auction, where you can bid to win staycations, fine art, wine, dining, and more while supporting arts education for young people in our community. Attendance is free and open to all, with all proceeds directly funding arts experiences for 4J students in the coming year. Thank you for your support, and see you there!
